Surrogate parenting is an arrangement in which one or more persons contract with a woman to bear a child for them and relinquish it after she gave birth. Here we make a list of celebrities who had surrogate babies.

Erin Andrews is married to ice hockey player, Jarret Stoll. The sportscaster who beat cervical cancer in 2018 chose a fertility plan of in vitro fertilization to get pregnant. The couple’s son Andrew was born in July 2023 via surrogacy.
2. Elton John - David Furnish

The gay icon and his spouse David Furnish had their first child, a son Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, on 25 December 2010 in California via surrogacy. The couple had their second son, Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John, on 11 January 2013, through the same surrogate.
3. Jordana Brewster - Andrew Form

Jordana Brewster had two sons with her first husband, producer Andrew Form, via surrogacy: Julian, born in September 2013 and Rowan, born in June 2016.
4. Elizabeth Banks - Max Handelman

Sherri Shepherd who had previously talked about getting abortions, had her second child with her second husband Lamar Sally, a son Lamar Jr. via surrogacy in August 2014. She challenged her surrogacy contract in the court as the child was conceived using a donor egg, but the court ruled that Shepherd was legally responsible for the child.
10. Kim Kardashian - Kanye West

The couple are parents to four children. Kim experienced difficulties during her first two pregnancies. She was forced to deliver at 34 weeks, during her first pregnancy, as she experienced pre-eclampsia. After her second delivery, she experienced placenta accreta, because of which she underwent a surgery to remove the placenta and scar tissue. As her doctor had advised her not to become pregnant again, she had her third and fourth child, two sons, Chicago and Psalm, who were born in 2015 and 2019, via surrogacy.

The troubled actress took to Twitter and Instagram to reveal that she welcomed her first child, a baby girl named Oonagh Paige Heard, with the aid of a surrogate on April 8, 2021.

Tyra Banks and her boyfriend, Norwegian photographer Erik Asla, had a biological son, York Banks Asla, born in January 2016 via gestational surrogacy.

The “King of Latin Pop” became a father to twin boys named Matteo and Valentino, in August 2008, born via gestational surrogacy. He explained later that he chose surrogacy over adoption, as it was less complicated.
