1. Robert Maxwell
Robert Maxwell was a British media Moghul, suspected spy, fraudster and father of Jeffrey Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell. His naked body was recovered from the Atlantic Ocean, some days after he went missing from his yacht, Lady Ghislaine. It is presumed that he fell overboard the vessel while urinating naked into the ocean, which he was known to do often. There is also a rumor, he committed suicide over his faltering empire. After he death, it was discovered that he had stolen over $1 billion from the pension funds of his companies’ employees.
2. Josef Mengele
Josef Mengele who is famous as the Angel of Death, was a Nazi doctor who is infamous for his actions at the Auschwitz concentration camp. After WWII, he escaped to South America all the while being pursued by Nazi hunters. In 1979, he had a stroke while swimming and drowned in the Brazilian coast of Bertioga, when he went for a swim with his friends.
3. Natalie Wood
Natalie Wood was a famous child actor who successfully transitioned to adult characters. She was famous for her appearance in Rebel Without a Cause (1955) alongside James Dean. Woods who suffered from hydrophobia, died under mysterious circumstances and her death according to forensics was due to supposed accidental drowning, when she was aboard her husband’s yacht, Splendour, along with her husband and actor Christopher Walken.
4. Brian Jones
Brian Jones was the founder and original leader of the English rock band the Rolling Stones. He was so decadent that he was fired from the band for his excessive use of drugs and alcohol. He again like many musicians died under mysterious circumstances. He was found motionless in his swimming pool by his girlfriend, and was later pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
5. Virginia Woolf
Virginia Woolf was an English writer who is one of the pioneers of the use of stream of consciousness as a narrative technique. She drowned herself to death by putting stones in her pockets and walking into a river.
6. Jeff Buckley
Jeff Buckley was a American singer-songwriter who was considered a legend in the making before his untimely death. He drowned when he went on a spontaneous swim fully clothed in the Mississippi River, when he got himself caught in the wake of the passing boat. His body was found five days later.
7. Dennis Wilson
Dennis Wilson was a American drummer who is one of the founders of the band Beach Boys. He was also known for his association with Charles Manson and for his appearance in the cult movie, Two-Lane Blacktop. He was also a extremely heavy drinker and smoker which had rendered him homeless. He killed himself by diving into the Marina Del Rey while he was in a drunken stupor, to retrieve his ex-wife’s belongings which he had thrown overboard his yacht three years earlier.
